Saturday morning, Joel, Nancy, and Carol accompanied Adam to shul in
West Hampton, a four-mile walk each way. The rest of us
sinners slept late and sat at the pool. Gilda and Sam, Yael and Eric,
and Daniella arrived, followed by Marjorie, Andy, and Neal.

We hung out for a bit, and Neal and Andy, Marjorie, Carol and I went
down the road to West Hampton for lunch with Marty and
Elaine, Neal’s folks, who have a condo there.

Also there were Tracey, Neal’s sister, her husband, Jeff, and their
two daughters, Amy and Allison, who stole our hearts.

Elaine served a great poached salmon, a pasta salad, mixed salad with
goat cheese, kugel,
zucchini bread, apple pie à la mode, and good wine. They are
a wonderful family, easy to be with, comfortable with each other.

Then came THE RACCOON! Those who are squeamish and prefer to see the world through rose-colored glasses, as though every day were a day at the beach, and those who are under 15...skip the next page.
